The mc20 is the first supercar by maserati in 15 years and some people are saying that it could mark a turning point for the company,
the mc20 is set to enter production with a 630 hp v6 called nettuna, the v6 is mated to eight-speed automatic transmission. Maserati claims a top speed of 321 km/h (200 mph) and a 0 to 60 time of 3.3 seconds, there are also plans for a all-electric variant in the future and i can’t wait to see it
maserati collaborated with manufacturing company dallara to make the carbon fibre body and aluminium subframe, which we all know is a necessity in supercars now days, one thing we know for certain is that maserati is going to make a track version of this car because ‘mc’ stands for maserati corse which is the name the company used to race with.
The interior of the mc20 has a minimalist theme and only has the important features on the center console and the touchscreen, rear visibility is really bad in mid engined cars so there is a digital rear view camera that gets its feed from a camera mounted in the rear. The interior has luxurious black leather and carbon fibre trim with aluminum panelling.
The MC20 is a look at the future of maserati, the companies current lineup leaves a lot to be desired there are reliability issues and the interior are not luxurious, but the MC20 seems to change all that and restore the brands reputation as a sports brand and i hope it does because maserati has made some really good cars in the past and i hope they continue that for this new decade.
